The safari guide took the excitement of a two-horned bull elephant battle for dominance. . . and the girls.
At the Sabi Sand Game Reserve in South Africa, two huge males can be seen squaring up while tour guide, Lucien Beaumont, records the fight.
When the sparring began, the young bulls were just meters away from stunned holidaymakers taking a walk.
“I’ve seen things similar to this before, but not very frequently.
They were sparring bulls, not engaged in a full-fledged combat. It’s usually about mating rights with elephant cows.
“I was walking with my guests beside the Sand River when I noticed this. It’s incredible to witness the f.i.gh.t on foot.
“It went on for about ten minutes. It was quite remarkable to see something so unique.”
