Let’s Stick Together! Huge Herd Of Elephants Finds Safety In Numbers As They Run From Danger

A huge herd of elephants have been filmed sticking together as they instinctively run from danger.
The 45-strong group showed solidarity as they stayed side by side despite moving in large numbers.

Jacques Joubert, 55 and Michelle Broadhurst, 49, run Wings2Tusks and spend a lot of time in Kruger National Park, where they shot this incredible footage from a bridge.

Michelle said: “They came down to the river to drink water, there were some kudu and impala grazing as well.

“There was a deep rumble that suggest a signal from a member of the bond group and all of a sudden they all started running without making a sound until they reached the riverbank.

“We thought at first there might be lions close by but the kudu and impala grazed peacefully.

“It was the first time ever we had experienced this and had no idea what just happened, it may be that the river is the territorial boundary.

“This was a bond group of elephants which consists of between three to five families.

“When more than one bond group gather they form a clan of elephants.”
